49th French Hot-air Balloon Championship from 13 to 18 August in Marmande

This annual competition brings together the best pilots in France. Once again this year, the skies will be covered with some fifty hot-air balloons taking part in the competitions organised by the Direction des Vols (DV). Of the 75 hot-air balloons taking part in the event, 50 will be competing in the competition and 25, known as 'Fiestas', will be used for first flights and partner flights. The entire aerostatic community will come together to put on a spectacular show for the public!

7th International Festival of Journalism 2023 from 14 to 16 July in Couthures-sur-Garonne

The Festival is built around seven major themes, around which debates, meetings and screenings are organised over three days. These major themes have been selected by the Festival's editorial team, guided by current events, in-depth issues affecting society and media debates.

Numerous journalists and their guests will be present on the banks of the Garonne in July to discuss the Festival's themes.

15th Confituriades 19 and 20 August

Held in Beaupuy (Lot-et-Garonne), in the Grand Marmandais region, the second largest jam-producing area in France, and number 1 in the country if domestic production is included, the Salon des Confituriades is the only event in France entirely dedicated to the theme of jams. In just a few years, it has become a key international event.
As well as the exhibition and competition, the Confituriades are also an opportunity to get together for a weekend of festivities and gourmet delights, with concerts, shows for young and not-so-young, games and gourmet workshops to delight the eyes, ears and taste buds!

The featured fruits for the 2023 World Championship are rhubarb, raspberry, blackcurrant, plum, apricot and strawberry.

Festigaronne, the Tonneinquaise music festival on June 21st

Festigaronne is Tonneins' version of the Fête de la Musique, and this year, 2023, two concerts will be on the bill: Stand Jazz Project and Soul Meeting (with a musical tribute to Ray Charles). Both concerts will take place on Place Jean Jaurès, around the first Marché des Producteurs de Pays in Tonneins in the summer of 2023.
